Leah Zahler

Leah Zahler graduated from Smith College and received a PhD in Buddhist studies from the University of Virginia in 1994.

 

The author or editor of several books on Tibetan Buddhist meditation including: (with Lati Rinpoche, Denma Locho Rinpoche, and Jeffrey Hopkins) Meditative States and Study And Practice Of Meditation: Tibetan Interpretations Of The Concentrations And Formless Absorptions. Zahler also produced a number on unpublished translations over the course of her career as a scholar; she passed away in 1998.

 

She has contributed translations on the Perfection of Wisdom for the UMA Institute for Tibetan Studies.
